Mazda i-Activsense®

mazda safety technology

Mazda i-Activsense® is a suite of advanced driver-assistive features that use sensing technologies to detect road conditions, automatically adjusting and adapting to them to keep you safer on Lee's Summit roads and beyond. Thinking about bringing home a new Mazda vehicle? If so, read on to learn more about all you’ll benefit from with standard Mazda i-Activsense.

The Mazda i-Activsense® Safety Features

Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)

Your Mazda’s advanced camera system can register lane markings, alerting you with a control center warning should it detect you drift outside said markings.

Mazda Lane Keep Assist

Mazda Lane Keep Assist also recognizes lane markings. If your vehicle’s windshield-mounted sensor detects you drift out of your lane while traveling above 37 mph, steering assistance activates.

Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS)

Should you find yourself driving on a dimly lit road throughout Kansas City, the AFS turns the headlights to reveal what’s around the bend.

High-Beam Control (HBC)

Rather than having to manually engage or disengage your brights, your Mazda automatically detects vehicles approaching from ahead or behind and controls your high-beams accordingly.

Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)

Mazda Radar Cruise Control helps you automatically maintain a safe following distance thanks to your Mazda’s sonar capabilities.

Distance Recognition Support System (DRSS)

Related to your MRCC, the distance recognition support system will display your distance from the vehicle ahead.

Forward Obstruction Warning (FOW)

In tandem with the DRSS, Mazda FOW radar technology not only tells you the distance of the car ahead, but can also send a brake warning if the distance between you and the other vehicle is rapidly decreasing.

Rear Vehicle Monitoring System (RVM)

Using radar monitors, the RVM system reads the distance of vehicles approaching from behind in adjacent lanes. Saipan drivers will receive aural and visual warnings if RVM detects oncoming traffic in an adjacent lane while the turn signal is engaged.

Smart City Brake Support

In situations like stop-and-go traffic in Raytown, Smart City Brake Support automatically engages the brakes if it senses a potential collision.
